shortcut keys

Postby eprpic » Tue Jan 02, 2018 10:14 am

Hello again! :) And a happy new year again! :)
Is it possible to customize the shortcut keys? To change some of them (for instance, put "M" instead of "CTL+M" for move) and add some (like "D" for duplicate). The general idea is to replicate the E-Plan shortcut keys to some extent.
A (semi)hacker solution is also acceptable to me... :)

This seems to be fairly simple to do.
Right now I'm working to convert the source code to a modern compiler and this also forces me to update the User Interface.
Having customized shortcuts would be nice in this update.
I put on my to-do list.

Somewhat related to this request, it would be also nice if we could make use of mouse wheel and middle button, like in E-Plan or AutoCAD, Ares, etc.
Namely - to hold the middle button down while moving mouse around to pan around a zoomed drawing, and to turn mouse wheel to and fro to zoom in and out.

Yes. That would be nice.

Right now there is something similiar, but not as good as other software.
You can zoom in/out with CTRL + mouse wheel
You can move up/down (in a zoom window) with mouse wheel
You can right/left (in a zoom window) with SHIFT + mouse wheel

Thanks, it can help as well.
How much trouble is it to use a horizontal scroll wheel if the mouse has it?

Not sure at the moment how much work it would be.
In the old compiler (<v1.2.10) it would probably be alot of work.
In the new compiler (future Elwin version 1.3) I assume it's easy (as vertical scroll wheel is easy to include). I will put this item on my list.
