Drawing Resolution smaller than .1mm

Postby RyanS » Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:22 pm

Any chance of getting down to .01mm in future revisions?

I noticed a lot of exported drawings have funny looking circles - I'm sure a greater resolution would allow for finer curves. In the mean time, I've converted most of my 'circles' to straight lines.

Also - here in the US - we often work in imperial units that translate to .01mm. For now I just round close, but I have been off on a couple of items.

Anyway - great software so far!

Which unit are you using?
And what is the smallest value you practically use when drawing in that unit?

0.1mm is mm because it's defined in the database.
If you modify mm in the database to XX unit. And make a new paper size in XX unit.
This way you would draw everything in XX unit. And don't have to convert to mm all the time.
I think it would work as long as you don't require smaller values than 0.1 xx unit.

If you experimenting then please use a copy of the your database!

Yes, only problem is in other units we often use 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 which are essentially .5, .25, .125

Going down to .25 would be minimal. I did set up using 10x's the unit once, but then the layout measurements don't show accurate readings.
